The City of Richmond (the “City”) is inviting interested firms that can supply and deliver the following which includes but not limited to janitorial chemicals, cleaning supplies, sanitary paper, plastic bags and related cleaner’s hardware (the “Requirements”), as described in the Contract Documents.

Through the consolidation and streamlined acquisition process for products, the City would like to realize the following objectives:

• consolidate the supplier base;
• a strong, co-operative and proactive relationship with the preferred Contractor;
• a contractor who will provide excellent customer service and proactive account management;
• access to accurate and timely reporting of product utilization and expenditures;
• discounts applied according to past or predicted usage of products;
• fixed pricing for the Core Product Price List;
• limited incidence of back-orders;
• proposed substituted products of equal or better value at no additional cost; all proposed substitutions to be assessed and approved prior to order fulfillment;
• timely deliveries at no incremental cost to the City and to the Contractor;
• receipt of quality products fit for purpose, supported by informative and current documentation;
• dispensers free of charge to the City;
• lower acquisition costs through transactional reduction processes; and
• adherence to the “green” standards outlined in this RFQ.
