The City of Richmond (the “City”) is proposing to engage a cleaning and housekeeping services Contractor for the Community Safety - “CSB” and Richmond City Centre Community Policing Office – “CCCP” Buildings to a standard acceptable to its tenants, management, and all stakeholders, and that is responsive to the current and future conditions relative to the COVID-19 outbreak, (the “Project”), as described in the Contract Documents.

The City reserves the right to extend the scope of the Project to other properties on an as and when requested basis, upon mutual agreement with the awarded Proponent. 

The conditions of Contract award are stated as per below, and the successful Proponent will be expected to provide the following mandatory certificates and clearances after receiving the intent to award:

• provide Certified Building Service Worker (BSW) valid certificates for all building service personnel working on site;
• obtain CSB and CCCP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance at the Proponent’s cost, to gain access to work on the property before the official award of contract. The selected Proponent’s team must maintain their credentials throughout the duration of the contract.
• be able to provide the required certificates with two months after the intent to award is received in order to be able to commence the Work.
• the City reserves the right to move on with the next successful Proponent in case the above mentioned certificates are not provided with the two month period.
• the commencement date of the Contract is anticipated after two month of intent to award given the security clearances are obtained.
