The Requirements:

1. The City of Richmond (the “City”) is proposing to engage a cleaning and housekeeping services Contractor for the Richmond Public Library branches (Brighouse, Cambie, and Ironwood, locations) to a standard acceptable to its tenants, management, and all stakeholders, and that is responsive to the current and future conditions (the “Requirements”), as described in the Contract Documents.
2. The Richmond Public Library reserves the right to extend the scope of the Project to other properties on an as and when requested basis, upon mutual agreement with the awarded Bidder.
3. The conditions of Contract award are stated as per below, and the successful Bidder will be expected to provide the following mandatory certificates after receiving the intent to award:

• certified Building Service Worker (BSW) valid certificates for all building service personnel working on site;
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certificate for all building service personnel working on site;
• proof of criminal records check documentation is required for all personnel.
• be able to provide the required certificates with two months after the Intent to Award is received in order to commence the work;
• the city reserves the right to move on with the next successful Bidder where the above mentioned mandatory requirements are not satisfied. Time is of the essence;
• the commencement date of the Contract is anticipated after two month of Intent to Award is given.
